No. The patcher only edits the MP4 container metadata — specifically the moov box. Your raw video and audio data inside mdat is never touched, so quality is bit-for-bit identical.

The Zilem Method inflates the video's internal sample count tables (stsz, stsc, stco) to make the file look like it has significantly more frames. TikTok's algorithm sees this as a signal of higher quality, which can boost distribution.

Your video is uploaded directly from your browser to encrypted private cloud storage (Vercel Blob), where it is processed and immediately deleted after you download the patched file. No human can access it. The patching algorithm runs entirely on our server — it is never exposed to the client.
